Founded in 1999 the creative vision of Tabula Rasa Dance Company comes from the desire to make dance performances that transcend stylistic boundaries – performances that are imaginative, inspiring and highly visual.

Led by artistic director Claire Pençak, the company’s distinctive style is forged out of its collaborations with a wide range of creative artists. We begin each project with ‘tabula rasa’ – literally a clean slate - in order to seek afresh for new creative solutions.

Tabula Rasa Dance Company creates performances for both adult and children’s audiences and tours throughout the UK. The company presents its work in both theatre and non-theatre venues in rural and urban communities.
